Liquid Network paused operations after actors claiming to be white-hat hackers withdrew about 4,000 Bitcoin worth $320 million from its federation wallet. Liquid said bridge nodes were disabled. Exchanges halted or were preparing to halt L-BTC deposits and withdrawals. The actors told Blockstream they would return most of the Bitcoin after the Elements vulnerability was patched across the network.

Oil prices rose 1% after U.S. forces struck three Iranian oil tankers. Bitcoin was nursing losses after the escalation in the U.S.-Iran war. Higher oil prices and stronger-than-expected U.S. job growth could constrain Federal Reserve interest rate cuts.

STONK, the token associated with Solana launchpad StonkFun, rose more than 250% in 24 hours to a roughly $140 million market capitalization. StonkFun integrated with Raydium's LaunchLab on Saturday. STONK recorded about $135 million in daily trading volume. The launchpad pulled volume to Raydium and Jupiter.

Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a record $730.87 million daily inflow on September 3rd. TedPillows warned that Bitcoin formed a local top shortly after the two prior occasions when daily ETF inflows exceeded $700 million. Alex Adler Jr. said US spot ETFs contributed about 42.8K BTC of net flows over the past month. DonAlt predicted Bitcoin will reach as high as $90,000 before a meaningful pullback.

US employers added 162,000 jobs in August, prompting President Trump to demand lower Federal Reserve interest rates. The unemployment rate remained at 4.1%. The United States runs annual deficits of more than $1.2 trillion with China, Mexico and Canada, according to The Wall Street Journal. The odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike at the September meeting rose to around 53%.
