CryptoSlate's market data showed major spot prices near $1.49 to $1.50 by about 01:50 UTC on Aug. 23. CoinGlass data cited at 05:32 UTC showed $523 million in crypto liquidations over one hour. The data included $448 million of long positions and $74.76 million of short positions. CoinGlass showed $3.66 billion in XRP open interest at 01:50 UTC on Aug. 23. XRP futures volume reached $18.08 billion over 24 hours. XRP spot volume reached $5.10 billion over the same period. The size of any leverage reset could not be measured without matching readings from before, during, and after the move.
