Absa becomes first African bank to offer digital-asset custody

Absa Group has become the first bank in Africa to offer digital-asset custody. The Johannesburg-based lender plans to offer the service to its South African institutional clients. Absa seeks to enter a digital-asset custody market estimated at about $1.5 billion.
