Bitcoin crosses $81,000 as $547 million in crypto bets liquidated

About $547 million in leveraged crypto bets were liquidated over the last 24 hours as Bitcoin's price crossed $81,000, according to CoinGlass. Short liquidations totaled $469.19 million. Long liquidations reached $57.10 million. Bitcoin accounted for about $243.54 million of the liquidations. Ethereum followed with about $95.66 million, while Solana added about $36.29 million. More than 107,000 traders were forced out. The largest single liquidation was an $8.53 million Bitcoin position on Hyperliquid. Bitcoin was trading near $81,030 at the time of publishing.
