Binance Pay to let visitors spend USDT at PayPay merchants in Japan

Binance Pay will allow eligible overseas visitors to spend Tether USDt (USDT) at the vast majority of PayPay-supported merchants in Japan starting Wednesday. HIVEX will connect the payment service to those merchants. Merchants will continue receiving settlement in yen. Binance said it is the first crypto payment service to access PayPay-supported merchants through HIVEX. Binance said merchants will not need to opt in separately. PayPay is accepted at millions of locations across Japan. PayPay lists nine other overseas payment services supported through HIVEX, mainly from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
