NoOnes shuts down after sanctions, affecting 2.5 million users

NoOnes shut down after sanctions disrupted its operations and affected more than 2.5 million users. NoOnes said it failed to resolve and remove the sanctions. Blockchain monitoring providers classified some NoOnes wallets and transactions as high risk. The wind-down began on August 17. The peer-to-peer marketplace closed on August 21. The closure ended Swap, the Visa card, crypto off-ramps, the gift card store, and Lightning payments. Withdrawals remain available through the Bitcoin network and Tether on TRON. NoOnes advised users to withdraw their entire balances by August 23, 2026. External compliance providers may review or change the risk ratings of some NoOnes company wallets because of the EU sanctions listing. The Council of the EU adopted its 21st sanctions package against Russia in late July.
