CSD BR puts BTG Pactual fund records on XRP Ledger

CSD BR has begun putting ownership records for selected BTG Pactual investment funds on the XRP Ledger. CSD BR is responsible for more than 22 trillion reais in registered assets, roughly $4 trillion. Its existing database remains the official record for registration, custody and settlement. The assets registered with CSD BR are not being moved to the ledger. Shares in funds deposited with CSD BR will also be represented as tokens on the ledger. After testing the system with live fund records, CSD BR and Ripple plan to explore issuing and trading assets directly on the ledger. Those assets could include real-estate and agribusiness receivables.
