XRP and TRUMP drive $830 million Upbit hour in South Korea

Upbit recorded 1.15 trillion won, or about $830 million, in one hour on Saturday. Upbit's total 24-hour volume reached about $3.81 billion. XRP accounted for 32.20% of that volume and ranked first among traded assets. TRUMP ranked second with 10.93%. USDT ranked third with 8.39%. Ethereum and Bitcoin ranked fourth and fifth with 5.44% and 5.40%. Upbit's daily volume had risen 273% to about $1.84 billion on August 21. That increase marked Upbit's highest daily volume since mid-March. Bithumb's volume rose 132.9% to about $934.9 million on August 21. XRP contributed $418.9 million during that session. XRP traded near $1.44 and was up 2.1% over 24 hours at the time of writing. XRP had briefly fallen to $1.36 during a 37% intraday flash crash. TRUMP traded near $2.34 and was up 26% over 24 hours. Speculation about a Robinhood Chain launch fueled renewed interest in TRUMP.
