X adds Cashtag trading option linking users to brokerages

X, formerly known as Twitter, added a Trade option to support its Cashtag Partner Program. When users tap a supported Cashtag, they can view an asset's price information and related conversation on X before selecting Trade to continue to a participating brokerage. They can then log in to an existing brokerage account or create a new one and complete the transaction through the brokerage's mobile app or website. Participating brokerages named in the article include Interactive Brokers, Moomoo, Gemini, Kraken and Coinbase. The program covers stocks and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. X Product Engineering Lead Mridul Singhai said Cashtags connect a ticker on the timeline with the market.
