FC Barcelona launches Cardano-based Barça Fan Lab

FC Barcelona launched Barça Fan Lab this week as a Cardano-based platform for fan participation. The platform lets fans earn verifiable credentials. Andamio helped develop the project. Fans access the platform through BarçaID. Signing in automatically creates a personal Cardano wallet tied to the profile. The wallet stores credentials earned through participation. One area covers club history and values. Another area covers sustainability and inclusion. A third area connects physical fan communities with digital participation. A fourth area explores Web3 applications such as collectibles and loyalty systems. The club said those applications remain experimental and are not confirmed features. Cardano's Catalyst Fund 13 community grant program helped fund the project. In 2025, Barça Media launched the separate Barça.Pass wallet with Futureverse. Barça.Pass reached more than 11 million existing BarçaID users at that time. ADA traded near $0.2526 at the time of writing. ADA was up 1% over the past 24 hours. ADA remained roughly 92% below its all-time high of $3.09. ADA reached that high on September 1, 2021. The platform's future fan engagement will likely depend on adoption numbers that FC Barcelona has not disclosed.
